Festival of Code 2016

Coding events give scores of learners the opportunity to learn to code. And that’s why we love to host them. We’ll be hosting this year’s Festival of Code in October.
It’s a five day intensive programme hosted at Unisa’s Sunnyside campus and has been prepared for the top performers selected during Africa Teen Geeks Computer Science Week 2016.
During the five day programme, the children learn the foundation of Java and everything from robotics to mobile development. They’ll also learn about entrepreneurship from the experts at Oracle, some of whom visited from the UK, and leading technology experts and entrepreneurs. One of the visiting entrepreneurs is Robinne Burrell, who specialises in mobile product development and has worked at a number of top companies including Match.com, Amazon and MySpace.
The programme is the highlight of the children's journey with Africa Teen Geeks before they graduate as certified Junior Java Developers.
